Pierre-Yves MONTAVON was born on the 2nd of December, 1958. He obtained his law degree from the University of Geneva (lic. Iur. 1982) and was admitted to the Geneva Bar from 1983 to 2015.
After completing a legal traineeship and passing the bar exam in 1985, Pierre-Yves MONTAVON worked as an associate with the law firm PATRY, JUNET, SIMON & Le FORT (1985-1987). He then joined the tax administration of the canton of Geneva as member of the legal department (1987-1990) before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers as tax manager (1990-1993).
In 1993, Pierre-Yves MONTAVON joined forces with Yves C. MERMIER to create the law firm MONTAVON & MERMIER.
Since the 1st January 2016, Pierre-Yves MONTAVON is Of Counsel and external Advisor based in Dubai, UAE.
Pierre-Yves MONTAVON is specialized in international tax law, commercial and business law, company law as well as in trusts and estate planning.
He advises and acts as trustee for families, entrepreneurs and their companies in Europe and the Middle East. His main areas of activity are wealth and tax planning in an international context.
Its working languages are French and English.
